CMQG Mini Quilt Swap: Sign-Ups Are Open!

Signups for the Chicago Modern Quilt Guild mini quilt swap are now open! 

This swap is for any Chicago MQG member regardless of quilting ability. 

Signups will be open from today until October 23, and on November 5 you'll receive an email with your swap partner's info, likes, and dislikes. 

It's a blind swap so you won't know who is making for you, and your partner won't know it's you making a mini for them. 

Swap Rules:

• Don't let your partner know who you are! They will find out when they receive your mini quilt.
• Quilts should be no smaller than 10 inches on any side and no bigger than 24 inches on any side.
• Do good work. Make something you'd be happy to receive.
• No extras, please. Just your awesome mini quilt.
• Have fun!

Important Dates:

• October 23 - Last Day for sign-ups
• November 5 - Receive partner information
• March February 18 - Mini quilts due at meeting. Please bring them wrapped, and with a note to your partner  REVISED:  Mini quilts are now due at the MARCH meeting.

Please make an effort to "stalk" your partner on social media and find out as much about their likes (in terms of quilts!) as you can. If you don't do Instagram, flickr, or Pinterest -- or have a blog -- that's completely okay, too. If that's the case, however, please help your partner out by thoroughly answering the questions on this form.

Partners will be assigned based on your answers to the questions on the sign-up form. If you do use social media, feel free to use #ChicagoMQGswap to share your progress!
