Retreat Projects - Great and Small, Part I

Here's a picture-heavy post of some of the fabulous fabricliciousness from the March Retreat at Siene Center:

Karen's Ticker-Tape project

Holly's Kona Greens and Neutrals

Jen S's bias binding

A glimpse of Jen, Mimi, Erika, and Elaine in our bright big retreat room

Charity quilts from the Fall 2011 retreat ready to be presented to Sister Dolores

Sarah S's Wonky Stars in process

Tricia using the design "wall" for her project

Eileen's penchant for hexagonal things, like mug rugs. Or was this one of Erika's blocks?

Emily the Speed Demon doing the small-piecing thing

Rachel quilting her manly "woven" Rail Fence

Look for Part II tomorrow!

  1. Donna, Thanks for posting this and helping me pull myself out of this hole I find my self in. After my first retreat I was walking on air. This time, after spending almost all of my time working on a quilt I thought I would love and finding out I don't, I feel like I'm slogging through mud. I'm trying to focus on the fabulous fun we had together, the great conversations, the support for a passion from like minded women, the laughing and teasing and goofing around. And I will sign up for the fall retreat to hopefully redeem myself from retreat-project-disappointment. Until then the quilt in question will either be put away until I'm in a happier place, or I will bravely face the challenge and make it work!
